Jean Pennel
& Joseph Flipo started rubber coating in Roubaix, the European textile
capital |

After three years of
significant growth, the compagny invesed in a calendering facility to
apply direct rubber compounds onto textiles. |
To respond
to the growing demand of table protection, PENNEL launched and patented
the BULGOMME®, a non sliding expended rubber which protects from
heat. |

PENNEL & FLIPO
opens a “sister” company called “Les Plastiques de
Roubaix” to calender PVC films. |
PENNEL & FLIPO
continues its path of diversification with plastic coating.

PENNEL & FLIPO
introduces the coating of polyurethane and becomes a subsidiary of the
PROUVOST group. |
PENNEL acquires three
subsidiaries of the TOTAL group, all specialized in plastics.

extends its coating expertise to include ABS. |
To respond to the demand
of fully recyclable products, PENNEL launched the calendering of TPO. |
Mr. Olivier
LAVEDRINE took over the company to concentrate its activities on Inflatable
& Flexible products. |
The industrial
sheet and Automotive division is sold to SIOEN, a belgian consortium. |

is sold to LPW, the main shareholder of VENILIA. |
